Subsequent to the theoretical part of my Bachelor thesis – evaluating designs of evilness within Fantasy films – these 360° artworks of my own vicious creatures were exhibited at "SENSORY SCAPES" at Bethanien Kunstquartier Berlin in 2020. Through VR-Headsets viewers could face the evil beings dwelling in the bewitched Fairy Rings filled with absorbing Sound Design by Simon Winkler. For sound watch on YouTube.
I am Hannah Brückmann, a freelance Concept Artist based in Berlin. I like being surrounded by people and working with a kind, but ambitious team.

I am Hannah Brückmann, a Berlin based Concept Artist. Cards on the table: I LOVE FANTASY. Especially cloudy, creepy, grim worlds of bygone times, but every sprout of fiction world building has a place in my nerd heart. (Yes, I do play pen&paper. Ambitiously and frequently.) On the contrary studying Communication Design taught me how to keep it plain and simple. Those of you who've used Photoshop know the temptation of glitter and Color Dodge, but that's what I aim for: Nerdy, but neat Concept Art. Moreover it is very important to me to avoid harmful or merely outdated stereotypes, but work on new narratives.
2016 to 2020 —Bachelor in Communication Design at the HTW public university in Berlin. Aside from illustration skills I gained groundwork knowledge in typography, poster creation, editorial and brand design.

As an artist I love challenges but I specialise in character and creature design as well as environment art and prop design for preproduction (set construction, marketing) or postproduction (vfx) for films. I usually paint digitally in 2d in Photoshop if needed using blender for a 3d groundwork. In addition I provide illustrations traditionally drawn or digitally designed for the Graphics or Prop department e.g. in-film advertisements, packages, historical posters, book pages, etc. . Lastly I create frame by frame hand drawn animations in a naive and rough style.
